Soil-Lab

Soil Mechanics Laboratory: This lab helps students to enhance their knowledge about Soil Mechanics and it guides them to be familiar with fundamental mechanical and chemical properties of soil under loading. The students can implement several field and laboratory experiment methods that are required for civil engineers, especially in Soil Mechanic Course. In addition to that many geotechnical engineering projects use the lab to deal with the mechanical properties of soil to predict how it behaves under field loading. The Laboratory comprises some essential equipment’s to perform these common experiments in Soil Mechanics: 1- Soil classification test (Sieve analysis)
- Soil classification test (Hydrometer)
- Compaction test (Proctor)
- Compaction test (Sand Cone)
- Permeability test,
- California Bearing Ration Test (CBR)
- Liquid Limit Test
- Plastic Limit Test
- Specific Gravity
- Unconfined Compression Test
- Direct shear test
- Triaxial Test
- Vane shear test
